The area located south of the municipal territory of Enna presents the remains, which have never been investigated, of an ancient center destroyed at the end of the 14th century and linked to the subsequent life of the two neighboring state-owned cities, Enna and Piazza, which were named "half-barons of Fundrò". The remains of the ancient homonymous abbey still remain on the site, which was later transferred to Piazza, and in the valleys of the streams that descend from the height, there are several mills.
