Ponte di Carlo V a Capodarso
POI / Palaces and monuments, Archaeological sites, Parks and natural oases
On the waters of the Southern Imera River, the bridge made of local calcarenite was commissioned during the reign of Emperor Charles V on the orders of Viceroy De Vega. Once humpbacked, we see it today in its latest form. For centuries, it has been considered one of the "three wonders" of Sicily.
