"
The ancient road described by Cicero allowed the transport of wheat products from Henna to Halaesa on the Tyrrhenian coast. In the portion located between Calascibetta, the Altesina, and the hamlet of Cacchiamo, the bundle of roads that made up the food supply still remains the heart of a rural road system with a great landscape impact. In the final part, already in view of Cacchiamo, the via annuaria passes right next to the interesting coral geosite and then arrives in front of the Villa Masseria dei Bongiorno, with its chapel and large trough, further on to the Geopark Center."
