An artificial lake created by damming the stream of the same name, a tributary of the Braemi, it has a forked shape with very deep inlets.

A most pleasant spot for sport fishing and picnics, it has no facilities of its own. Much of the basin is part of the 'Boschi di Piazza' Special Area of Conservation.
