A full day of slow trekking with donkeys among Floristella, the Rossomanno reserve and the old Assoro railway.

Donkey-supported trekking is a practice linked to 'slow tourism'. The donkey is a calm, gentle and reliable animal, which is why we have chosen it as our travelling companion in the heart of Sicily. Its slow pace helps us savour the pleasure of slowing down, letting us serenely enjoy unforgettable views along the way while it also relieves us of some of our light luggage, offering plenty of affection and smiles in return! With the donkeys by your side, you can visit the Floristella Mining Park, the Rossomanno Nature Reserve and Assoro with its old railway line!

Requirements & gear

Each route has different levels of difficulty and different distances. All our excursions are accompanied by a certified environmental and hiking guide (A.I.G.A.E.)

Getting there & accessibility

Reachable by bicycle, by car/motorbike, by taxi/shuttle. The meeting point will be agreed upon at the time of booking.
