Arancino Tasting

Rosario was born in Enna in 1974 into a family of restaurateurs. That same year his father founded 'Tavola Calda Europa', where Rosario still carries on the family tradition today, preparing naturally leavened pizzas alongside the now-legendary Umbriaco-brand arancini and other classic Sicilian fried delicacies. You will be welcomed with a glass of organic Sicilian sparkling wine, sample a tasting of Rosario's special-brand arancini, savour the handmade cannolo and finish the tasting with a digestif.

Respect for tradition and great care in selecting the finest quality ingredients, most of them entirely 'Made in Sicily', are the guiding principles of Rosario's work, where Enna saffron, Piacentinu Ennese PDO, Trapani sea salt, Ispica carrots and Chiaramonte Gulfi donkey mortadella are just some of the ingredients used to make his iconic arancini, together with the blend of ancient Sicilian grain flours that gives the coating its crispness. In 2018, Rosario was awarded the title of 'Ambassador of Taste'.
