E-bike Tour: Assoro–Leonforte, sulphur and water

The story

The route begins at Dittaino station, from where we will reach the Vodi and Bambinello mines. We will start the climb along the old Dittaino-Assoro-Leonforte mountain railway, which winds up the slopes below the ancient village of Assoro. Once in the village, we will pedal through the characteristic alleyways of the Assoro old town until we reach the ruins of the castle; from here we will pick up the old railway track again heading towards Leonforte, where we will admire Palazzo Branciforti, the Fountain of the Nymphs and the majestic Granfonte. Immersed in the landscape, we will return to our starting point.

Requirements & gear: Recommended minimum age 10 years, or in any case a height of over 150 cm. Child seats available for children up to 20 kg. All our excursions are accompanied by a certified environmental and hiking guide (A.I.G.A.E.)
Getting there & accessibility: Loop route: length 41 km. The route alternates between paved and unpaved stretches. Reachable by bicycle, by car/motorbike, by taxi/shuttle. The meeting point will be agreed upon at the time of booking.
