E-bike Tour: Lake Nicoletti – Byzantine Village

A 39 km loop e-bike tour from Lake Nicoletti among ancient tracks, the Realmese necropolis, the Byzantine Village of Vallone Canalotto and Calascibetta.

Our route starts from the shores of Lake Nicoletti; we will climb along old, now-disused roads that in some stretches follow ancient royal droving trails. The first stop of our ride will be the Necropolis of Realmese, a place of mystical charm, a beehive of caves carved into the pale rock. Shortly afterwards we will reach the village of Vallone Canalotto, an enchanting spot of extraordinary natural beauty that dominates the Morello valley. After visiting the Byzantine Village and a lunch break, we will make our way through the alleyways of the village of Calascibetta and return to our starting point.

Requirements & gear

Recommended minimum age 10 years, or in any case a height of over 150 cm. Child seats available for children up to 20 kg. No specific athletic preparation is required. All our excursions are accompanied by a certified environmental and hiking guide (A.I.G.A.E.)

Getting there & accessibility

Loop route: length 39 km. The route alternates between paved and unpaved stretches. Reachable by bicycle, by car/motorbike, by taxi/shuttle. The meeting point will be agreed upon at the time of booking.
