A 32 km loop e-bike tour on Montagna di Marzo and Lake Olivo in the Rocca di Cerere Geopark, near Piazza Armerina, between scenic landscape and a Bronze Age archaeological site.

Montagna di Marzo rises within the territory of the Rocca di Cerere UNESCO Geopark, not far from the towns of Piazza Armerina and Barrafranca. An imposing height overlooking the inland countryside and the valley of the Olivo stream. Besides being a place of remarkable scenic value, thanks to its commanding position the mountain has also proved to be a site of great historical and archaeological interest. On its summit, as on the surrounding hills and districts, the signs of human presence are numerous and attest to human settlement here since at least the Bronze Age.

Requirements & gear

Recommended minimum age 10 years, or in any case a height of over 150 cm. Child seats available for children up to 20 kg. No specific athletic preparation is required. Comfortable clothing and trainers. All our excursions are accompanied by a certified environmental and hiking guide (A.I.G.A.E.)

Getting there & accessibility

The route alternates between paved stretches, gravel roads and dirt tracks. Reachable by bicycle, by car/motorbike, by taxi/shuttle. The meeting point will be agreed upon at the time of booking.
