E-bike Tour: Monte Altesina Reserve

A 38 km loop e-bike tour to Monte Altesina, the highest peak of the Erei Mountains in the Rocca di Cerere UNESCO Global Geopark, among holm oaks and archaeology.

Our two wheels will lead you on an adventure to discover the highest peak of the Erei Mountains, within the Rocca di Cerere UNESCO Global Geopark. From Lake Nicoletti we will begin our climb towards the summit of the 'Mons Aereus' and, as we near the top, we will cross its green holm-oak wood and discover the remains of the civilisations that have lived on the roof of central Sicily since ancient times. Once the visit to the summit archaeological area is over, we will begin our long and adrenaline-filled descent back to our starting point.

What's included

Each participant will be provided with an e-bike and helmet; environmental and hiking guide. Suitable for families with children.

Requirements & gear

Recommended minimum age 10 years, or in any case a height of over 150 cm. Child seats available for children up to 20 kg. Comfortable clothing and trainers. All our excursions are accompanied by a certified environmental and hiking guide (A.I.G.A.E.)

Getting there & accessibility

Loop route: length 38 km. The route alternates between paved and unpaved stretches. Reachable by bicycle, by car/motorbike, by taxi/shuttle. The meeting point will be agreed upon at the time of booking.
