E-bike Tour: Pergusa, Lake and Myth

A 21 km loop e-bike tour around Lake Pergusa: from Cozzo Matrice, in the myth of Demeter and Kore, to the gypsum crystal hills.

From the shores of the lake we will climb up to the site of Cozzo Matrice, a natural terrace overlooking Lake Pergusa which, besides telling the story of the ancient civilisations that settled on the Erei Mountains, will take us on a true journey into the myth of Demeter and Kore. It is here, in fact, that you find the cave from which Hades emerged with his chariot to abduct the young Kore. From here we will visit the heights surrounding Enna Bassa, formed of brilliant and spectacular gypsum crystals. Finally, crossing the surrounding districts, we will return to our starting point.

What's included

Each participant will be provided with an e-bike and helmet. Suitable for families with children.

Rates

Requirements & gear

Recommended minimum age 10 years, or in any case a height of over 150 cm. Child seats available for children up to 20 kg. No specific athletic preparation is required. All our excursions are accompanied by a certified environmental and hiking guide (A.I.G.A.E.)

Getting there & accessibility

Reachable by bicycle, by car/motorbike, by taxi/shuttle. The meeting point will be agreed upon at the time of booking.
