A 42 km loop e-bike tour to Pietratagliata Castle and the rocky ridge of the Gresti stream, with the Norman-style keep guarding the ancient routes to Morgantina, Agira and Enna.

A majestic ridge of rock rises perpendicular to the bed of the Gresti stream, creating a natural barrier. At the top, like a jewel set in the mighty crag, stands the castle with its solid, Norman-style tower. The castle was placed to guard a vast territory that, since the most remote eras, aroused enormous interest for the control of the routes leading from the eastern coast of Sicily towards the interior, where hugely important centres such as Morgantina, Agira and Enna once stood.

What's included

Each participant will be provided with an e-bike and helmet; option to visit craft or agri-food workshops (additional charge from € 10)

Requirements & gear

Recommended minimum age 10 years, or in any case a height of over 150 cm. Child seats available for children up to 20 kg. Comfortable clothing and trainers. All our excursions are accompanied by a certified environmental and hiking guide (A.I.G.A.E.)

Getting there & accessibility

Reachable by bicycle, by car/motorbike, by taxi/shuttle. The meeting point will be agreed upon at the time of booking.
