The world's largest collection of olive varieties, with hundreds of plants from across the globe, in the Lake Pergusa Nature Reserve.
Within the Pergusa Lake Nature Reserve, managed by the Libero Consorzio of Enna, lies a collection of olive varieties: hundreds of trees gathered from all over the world, arranged by geographical area and tended with great attention to environmental sustainability. Today it is the largest collection of olive varieties in the world.
Getting there
The Collection is easily reached starting from the Pergusa Village and, if desired, from the Geopark Visitor Center. It can be reached by bicycle and by car/motorbike. Address: Pergusa, SP 101, Enna.
Access & visits
To book a visit you must contact the Reserve's Managing Authority. It is advisable to visit the site accompanied by an AIGAE guide. Suitable for families with children (a guide is required).
