A calcarenite bridge over the southern Imera river, commissioned under Charles V, for centuries considered one of the 'three wonders' of Sicily.
Over the waters of the southern Imera river, the Bridge, built in local calcarenite, was commissioned during the reign of Emperor Charles V by order of the Viceroy De Vega. Once humpbacked, we see it today in its final form. For centuries it was considered one of the "three wonders" of Sicily.
Getting there
It is reached by following the Enna–Caltanissetta State Road as far as the Capodarso junction. It can be reached by bicycle and by car/motorbike. Address: SS 122, Enna.
Access & visits
Suitable for families with children (a guide is required). Required equipment: comfortable clothing suited to the season, backpack, trekking shoes, 1.5 l water bottle. Recommended equipment: rain poncho, binoculars, camera, trekking poles.
