A short but demanding trek that allows you to climb from lower Enna to the summit of the Rocca di Cerere, taking in some of the city's most interesting archaeological sites. Commonly imagined as the road that pilgrims devoted to the chthonic deities followed to reach the sanctuary, it is in fact a modern reinterpretation of that route. It certainly has such qualities as to make it one of the most captivating treks in Sicily.
It is reached from Via Leonardo Da Vinci / SS 117 bis. Accessible on foot. Address: SS 117 bis, Enna.
Open every day of the year. Suitable for families with children (a guide is required). Required equipment: comfortable clothing suited to the season, backpack, trekking shoes, 1.5 l water bottle. Recommended equipment: rain poncho, binoculars, camera, trekking poles.
