A rock-cut archaeological area with several dwelling clusters entirely carved into the rock and inhabited from the Bronze Age until the last century. The area opens onto the limestone walls of the Canalotto valley and makes use of a perennial freshwater spring. The distribution of the hypogeal (underground) rooms across several levels is spectacular.
From the SS 290, Calascibetta. Reached by following the SS 290 as far as the Buonriposo sanctuary and then following the signs.
Suitable for families with children; a guide is required.

In the territory of Calascibetta, several pre- and protohistoric necropolises come into view: hundreds of tombs carved into the limestone rock, in some cases isolated, in others gathered into groups that can be very large.
